musicALL Core Team:

Director – Rob Gallagher

Rob oversees all aspects of musicALL’s strategic, project delivery and administrative functions, managing the core team to raise funds, plan ahead, deliver projects, report to the board, and evaluate how things are going for our musicians and young people throughout the year. Since 2004, Rob had worked in various roles across music and the arts, and in social care and community development. Rob is a musician (keyboards and drums) and still plays with tribute bands and cabaret acts across the UK on an ad-hoc basis. He sits on the board of the Croft visitors centre at HMP Barlinnie. Rob is passionate about equality and inclusion, and his vision for a fairer society where everyone’s voice is heard is what drives him in his role at musicALL.

Fundraising and Finance Officer – Jennifer Gemmell

Jennifer began as a volunteer with musicALL, helping at events, and then joined the staff  team in 2018. Her role involves looking after the day to day finances at musicALL and making sure that the bills get paid on time! The main part of Jennifer’s job is to source funding for our projects. The part of her job she loves the most is the opportunity to share the story of our charity and introduce new people, Trusts and Foundations to the amazing things that happen at musicALL. Music has always been really important to Jennifer, and in her spare time she sings in a community choir, and goes to as many gigs as she can.

Creative Lead – Scott MacKay

Scott heads up the teams working on the ‘Move On Up’ and ‘The Fridays’ projects. He oversees the creative output and direction from the projects and works with the Project Manager to plan and deliver events. Scott has worked with musicALL since 2015, when he came on board as a tutor, working at Hazelwood School with the music team. Work outside of musicALL has included music instruction at a number of Secondary and Higher Education centres and professionally has performed around the world with such bands and artists as Roddy Hart, Mànran, Deacon Blue, Findlay Napier, Hannah Rarity, Rura and many more.

Project Manager – Dr Kathleen Cronie

Kathleen leads the Development Team at musicALL and oversees the Make Your Own Kind of Music which runs in ASN schools throughout Glasgow. Bringing her background in research to the organisation, she also works on the evaluation and monitoring of our activities. Outside of musicALL, Kathleen is a choral conductor and researcher, having written her PhD on choir leadership and is also MD of Loud & Proud, Scotland’s first LGBTQ+ choir.

Information and Content Creator – Sam Gonçalves

Sam collates and creates resources across video, audio and written mediums – which includes our website and social media channels. He also leads on the design, implementation and ongoing maintenance  of course materials and resources for our online learning platform. Outside of musicALL, Sam is a filmmaker and writer who has worked with the BBC, Bureau of Investigative Journalism, Greater Govanhill, Creative Dundee, The Ferret, Govanhill Baths, Social Enterprise Scotland and many more…
